St. Mary the Virgin, Nonington
St. Mary’s is in the village of Nonington in the Kent countryside roughly half way between Canterbury and Dover. It dates from the 12th century with later alterations and additions. The last major restoration took place in 1887. A guide to the Church is available from the Friends of Nonington Church.
We share our worship with the Baptist Chapel – both congregations are small but hardworking and dedicated! Our style of worship copes well with the needs of the diverse group that we are, and we have a regular pattern for services which you can find here. As a community we assist with as many village social activities and fundraising as possible, as well as running events of our own. Please come along on a Thursday morning for Coffeestop from 10 for coffee, scones and lots of chat, and our Happy Hour on the third Friday of every month from 6.30pm.
‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart & with all your soul & with all your strength…love your neighbour as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.’
